Ellen Fishburne depicts nature through drawings, paintings, and photographs.
Her art appears In the “Carolina Sketchbook” section of each issue of South Carolina Wildlife magazine. Their January/February 2022 issue showcased her watercolors of a Pileated woodpecker and Catesby's gentian on the front and back covers.
Fishburne grew up in Statesville, NC, receiving private instruction from Louise Gilbert. She earned her BFA in Communications Art from East Carolina University and resides in Columbia, SC. She holds active memberships in the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators. Visit her Instagram page for more examples of her work.
